About the client

A family owned UK business set up to promote cycling by providing high levels of customer service and top quality products offering value for money and enhanced with added features and benefits.

The partnership with Sprint permits our client to outsource all of their physical storage and despatch requirements, allowing them to operate from smaller premises and concentrate on growing their business and developing the brand with consumers and distributors.

INNOVATION

Working in conjunction with our client, Sprint has helped the client develop a new pre-built option for the consumer sales side of the business. Not all customers are comfortable assembling a new bike and undertaking tasks such as adjusting the brakes. Since Christmas 2012, we have sourced a qualified mobile cycle technician who works from our facility once a week to build any models that have been ordered as pre-built. As the only assembly now required by the consumer is to twist the handlebars into place and screw on the pedals, Sprint has developed a new outer carton packing solution that utilises the original packaging materials to minimise waste but offers enhanced protection to the newly built bicycle and ensures it is delivered in pristine condition.

RESULTS

As well as orders, Sprint receives all returned items and manages collections from customer addresses. Working with the client we manage the flow of these into a dedicated quarantine area pending investigation and resolution. Additionally, we manage any faulty units back through to the manufacturer for credit and also provide processes for the management of spare parts and replacement items needed for despatch onto consumers.
